A Very Warm Welcome to The County
Restaurant with Rooms, in Aycliffe Village, Co. Durham
In the heart of Aycliffe Village, Co. Durham, The County Restaurant with Rooms offers that perfect combination of a countryside restaurant and local village pub with luxury guest rooms.
For over two hundred years, The County has been a welcoming place, for weary travellers on the Great North Road, to rest their head and fill their bellies for the road ahead. While the essence of our hospitality remains the same, the guest experience and quality of the food & drink has most certainly become worth the journey itself. In 2010, The Prime Minister and local MP, Tony Blair invited the French President, Jacques Chirac, here for dinner and a pint of the local real ale.
Whether you are staying for a few nights or just a few hours, we are proud to serve great food and drink, with views over the quiet Village Green, and look forward to welcoming you to The County.
