Lumiere Festival

The inspiring Lumiere Festival returns to Durham between 16th and 19th November. First held in Durham in 2009, the festival invites international artists to reimagine familiar spaces and buildings, changing the way we interact and experience urban life.

High Force Waterfall

A spectacular visual reward on a 5 mile circular trek within the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The starting point is at Bowlees Visitor Centre which is just a 45 min drive from The County.

Kynren

An epic performance taking you through 2000 years of English history. Tripadvisor ranks it in the Top 5 Shows to see in the UK and we highly recommend a visit. Kynren is part of The Auckland Project that also offers a collection of galleries, parkland and event all around the historic Bishop Auckland. All this is just 18 minutes from The County.
